Rairuoho ja kaninmunat, Ryegrass and Bunny’s Eggs
Miss Kitty , my friend from the U.S. was asking me about the bunny eggs. Well, Miss Kitty I don’t know what I should answer for your question… They do believe here that bunny makes the eggs but they also believe that a cock is making those chocolate eggs they do eat tons on each day on the Easter time. Of course there is too little eggs that I could have one or two. But ryegrass that I have got! They even grew me my own ryegrass! As Miss Kitty says, cats are really lycky, because they are not required to produce eggs of any kind at any time! I agree with her. I do not understand why just rabbits should do that. I am more interested in working with the electric wires than making of Eastern Eggs for kids.
Well Miss Kitty… Here in Finland they tell sories about the Eastern Witchs and their black cats. The Eastern Witchs are told to have a broom as a plane. There is said to be also a coffee-pot hangig in font of the broom. I am really happy that the flying animal is not a black bunny.
By the way I found up a black dog and his post cards! There is also Miss Kitty.

Miss Kitty, ystäväni Amerikasta, kyseli näistä pääsiäismunista. Niinpä niin. En tiedä oikein mitä tuohon vastaisi. Täälläkin kyllä kerrotaan, että pääsiäispupu tulee ja munii munia, mutta en minä vaan ole koskaan muninut mitään. Paitsi… mitä nyt on tullut purtua pari sähköjohota, mutta ne ovat kaikki oleet aivan täysin eri juttuja kuin tämä muniminen. Joku tosin voi pitää munauksena kun puree johtoja poikki. Voihan sen niinkin nähdä, jos ei ymmärrä johtojenpuremista harrastuksena.
No tässä talossa kaikki syövät tonneittain pääsiäismunia, mutta ei niitä silti riitä minulle. Jättäisivät edes pari, mutta turha luulo. Sentään muistivat kasvattaa minulle oman purkillisen rairuohoa.
Toisaalla puhutaan myös kukkojen munimisesta. Jaa. Kukot ja kanit. Siinähän sitä sitten on munia kerrakseen. En tiedä oikein kuka niin suureen munaukseen on lähtenyt mukaan, että on tällaista ryhtynyt väittämään. Miss Kitty sanookin, että on onnekas, koska on kissa. Kissojen ei ole koskaan väitetty munivan mitään. Tosin kissojen ja noitien on väitetty lentävän pääsiäisenä luudalla kahvipannuineen. Kissan on sanottu olevan musta. Onneksi tässä yhteydessä ei puhuta mustista kaneista mitään. En ole ollenkaan varma haluaisinko lennellä pääsiäisenä ympäri kyliä noidan luudan kyydissä.

Thank you for telling me what you know about those Easter Eggs….it was all very interesting. An Easter Witch….we don’t have that here where I live. But The Red Headed One tells me that in Italy they have a Christmas witch….witches seem to like the holidays over on your side of the big blue ocean! I am glad I am not a black cat, so I don’t have to fly on the witches’ broomstick/airplane! I’m glad you don’t have to do that either. It would be very frightening I think.
Thank you for telling me about that other Miss Kitty who likes to write stories. I wonder if she has written any poems…I didn’t see any. Well, I guess I don’t mind that there is another “Miss Kitty” out there….I think I’m prettier – ha ha.
